We build the improbable, then see how far it can go.
Operation Overbuilt is a workshop-sized extension of one restless engineering mind: full-scale machines, 3D-printed mechanisms, robots, experiments and whatever else is too interesting to leave as a sketch. The point isn’t just to make it. It’s to push it until reality answers back.
2,704 parts. Real-world dimensions. Working mechanical ambition. Every failure and breakthrough documented on the way.
The little orange troublemaker that started all this.
The original GT3 RS model is the visual and geometric reference point. Operation Overbuilt asks what happens when that Technic logic stops being shelf-sized and becomes real-world scale.
Every dimension is real. Every failure is part of the story.
Operation Overbuilt is a purpose-built workshop project centred on one huge engineering question: what happens when Technic geometry stops being a tabletop toy and becomes full-size structure?
The chassis, drivetrain, bodywork and mechanical systems are being recreated at 1:1 scale using 3D-printed geometry, fabrication, iteration and a great deal of trial and error.

What failed. What changed. What worked.
The public engineering log records the problems behind the build: dimensional accuracy, repeatability, material behaviour, mechanical interfaces, test results and the iterations that follow.
No pretending everything works first time. The useful bit is finding out why it didn’t.

The car is Build 001. It does not have to be the last bad idea.
Humanoid robots. Robotic mechanisms. Rovers. Workshop automation. Things that look like they belong in a launch bay.
The Future Ideas section is where concepts live before they become projects, or get sensibly killed before they consume the workshop.

Grogu // Future Idea **Idea Fulfilled**
What started as a small Future Idea became a finished build. Grogu was printed across the Prusa Mini and MK3S, assembled, finished and then sent all the way to Australia to its new owner @KimCordwell whos suggestion from the Operation Overbuilt community was fulfilled, and he’s now going home to Tasmainia. It’s a nice little […]
Open entry →Rest of the 1:8 LEGO Supercars
The GT3 RS is only the beginning. Operation Overbuilt started with one question: what happens if LEGO Technic geometry is scaled from 1:8 to 1:1 and expected to survive the real world? Once the GT3 RS has answered that, there’s an obvious problem. There are more 1:8 supercars. The idea is to take the rest […]
Open entry →OB-X1 — A 3D-Printable Modular Humanoid
OB-X1 is our attempt to create a full-size, 3D-printable humanoid robot platform that ordinary makers can actually build. The goal is to design the structural frame, joints and interfaces around parts that are easy to source: standard bearings, threaded rod, nuts, bolts, inserts, shafts, wiring and eventually off-the-shelf servos or actuators. The clever bit isn’t […]

If you found your way here then you may be lost but in a good way 🙂
Open entry →Bunker Breach is built as a proper game screen on mobile. Turn the phone sideways to continue.
Bunker Breach
Mouse / touch: aim and shoot. Head: 150 pts. Torso: 100 pts. Arms: 50 pts. Legs: 35 pts.
Prototype behaviour changes as the levels climb: rushers, strafers, damaged units, cover fire and heavier experimental builds.
Expect side-entry attacks, drones, shield pickups, weapon upgrades, cover fire and heavier experimental builds as the breach develops.
Utilities: you begin with three section-clear bombs. Collect jammer crystals and the atom charge during the run. Utility weapons are disabled on boss encounters.
Pause: use the Pause button or press P / Escape. Clicking outside the game no longer exits.
Guest clearance: survive the opening containment sequence and its boss. Member clearance: the breach keeps going, and it gets stranger.
